Pat Utomi Announces Independent Result Transmission Plan

Prof. Pat Utomi says the NDC is preparing its own independent election result transmission system ahead of the 2027 elections. According to him, election results from polling units across Nigeria will be transmitted live and monitored globally through major international media platforms, including CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, Fox News, and credible Nigerian news outlets. Utomi also revealed that the party plans to deploy a strong network of polling unit agents nationwide to ensure votes are protected and election officials are not subjected to intimidation.

This is a brilliant preemptive move. If the NDC can build a robust, decentralized app where polling unit agents upload stamped Form EC8A results in real-time, it creates an unalterable public audit trail. Crowd-sourced oversight is the future

Imagine watching the election results live on CNN and BBC directly from our villages before the local collation officers even have time to alter the numbers in an air-conditioned room. This is the ultimate antidote to what the Kaduna governor’s aide confessed to in the other thread!

Prof. Utomi needs a quick reality check on the Electoral Act. By law, only INEC has the constitutional mandate to transmit, collate, and declare official election results. Parallel transmission holds absolutely zero legal weight in an election petition tribunal.
