Nigerians Queue Up To Collect Raw Sallah Meet

This is the graphic reality of the ‘Sallah Price Shock’ thread below it. When the average ram is hitting record highs that exceed a worker’s monthly take-home pay, the middle class evaporates. People who used to buy whole cows are now standing in queues for a kilo of raw meat.

Let me guess—which politician or billionaire is distributing this? They will use N20 million to buy cows, share it to desperate citizens, capture it with HD cameras, and then use it to justify why they deserve a return ticket in 2027. We never learn.

No big deal. It’s in the spirit of the season. Queuing probably to avert disorderliness.

Let us be careful with our words. Sharing meat during Eid-el-Kabir is a core pillar of Islamic charity (Sadakah). The rich are commanded to feed the poor. Don’t blame the act of charity just because the economy is tough. The fault lies with leadership, not the givers.

Noteworthy observation
