Why do men like a woman’s big yansh or nyash

yansh or nyash, why do men like the big ones?

When you strip away the jokes and the slang, there are a few real reasons why men are drawn to a woman with a big yansh:

1. The Biological & Evolutionary Setup

From an evolutionary perspective, men are subconsciously wired to look for signs of health and fertility in women.

  • The Hourglass Figure: Culturally and biologically, a wider hip-to-waist ratio has historically been linked to high estrogen levels, youth, and successful childbearing.

  • Subconscious Hardwiring: Even if a man isn’t actively thinking about marriage or having kids when he looks at a woman, his primal, evolutionary brain is registering those curves as a sign of genetic fitness and vitality.

2. Social Conditioning and Pop Culture

We live in an era where the “thick” or hourglass silhouette is heavily celebrated. From Afrobeat music videos and Instagram influencers to global pop culture, a voluptuous body is constantly framed as the ultimate standard of attractiveness. When media constantly reinforces an image, it naturally shapes what people find desirable.

3. Visual and Physical Sensation

On a very basic, practical level, men are highly visual creatures. A pronounced curve breaks the straight lines of the body, creating a striking visual contrast that naturally draws the eye. Additionally, there is the simple physical preference for softness and texture, which many men find comforting and attractive.

The Reality Check: While a big yansh might cause a temporary “neck break” on the streets of Lagos or Abuja, it’s usually just an initial physical trigger. True attraction and long-term relationships are still built on character, compatibility, vibes, and peace of mind—because, as the street saying goes, “Beauty opens the door, but character keeps you inside.”

It’s the natural law of gravity o! A big nyash breaks the straight lines of the universe. It’s a complete traffic stopper on the streets of Lagos. If you don’t look, you are probably fighting a spiritual battle

It’s just comforting to look at. In a country where everything is hard and stressful—fuel price, electricity, traffic—looking at a beautifully curved woman is the only free therapy left for the common man.

SPiritual battle indeed😀

It’s purely biological. The high hip-to-waist ratio is a subconscious indicator of high estrogen levels and pelvic structural fitness for childbearing. Even if the man is a local area boy, his primal brain is processing reproductive data

There is a psychological comfort attached to it. A straight figure looks rigid to the eye, but curves signify softness and warmth. Men are visual creatures, lines and shapes matter to us immensely

Abeg, make we not overcomplicate things with science. Big yansh is just visually pleasing. It is the eighth wonder of the world. Once a woman with a heavy backup walks past, the male brain completely restarts.

Physical aesthetics might trigger the initial attention, but in the long run, it’s a terrible metric for relationship stability. As the street saying goes, ‘Yansh will fade, but peace of mind is forever.’ Choose wisely.

I just laugh when men place all their focus on this. A big nyash cannot cook, it cannot pay half of the Lekki house rent, and it definitely won’t give you sound advice when your business is facing a crisis. Prioritize brain power!
